Spotify and Rdio are the old music-streaming providers in town which inspired Amazon to create its own streaming music service called PrimeMusic. For only $99 annually, you get to become a Prime member which gives you access to about one million songs. This is by far way smaller than the multi-million collection of competitors just like Spotify’s 20-million library. PrimeMusic’s offering doesn’t end there because subscribers get a free two-day shipping on Amazon items, free Kindle ebook and free Netflix-like video service. The little guy in music just started and if it adds millions more of songs, it may have a potent on the music streaming industry. As of now, it has yet to prove if it can be a giant in this field especially now that it’s planning to launch its very own smart phone.
