Legendary Singer Lou Reed, who's had influence to every major rock musician while playing for the band Velvet Underground in the 1960’s, died last Sunday at his home in Amagansett, Long Island, New York. He was 71 years old. Mr. Reed’s death was caused by liver disease, on which he had transplant surgery earlier this year and another one a few days before his death. Rock bands like Joy Division, Talking Heads, Patti Smith, REM, The Strokes any many others were some of the bands that have been influenced by Lou Reed’s work.
